Stepping Stones - Business Proposition Development

WorldConnect case study

Introduction

Stepping Stones is a 'workshop-based method for the rapid development of business propositions'. This case study illustrates aspects of outputs from each core workshop. The diagram below illustrates the workshop development flow. Graphical techniques are recommended wherever possible, as these support group working and also the high-level specification intended by Stepping Stones.

The process starts with a Development Brief, which would indicate the opportunity, resources to be used, benefit to be delivered, timescales, etc. The brief in the case study is for 'WorldConnect', a real world business proposal, but not from any one company.

The company is currently in the early stages of launching its Broadband cable service, which offers 10 times faster internet service than current domestic connections and at a competitive tariff.
